Privacy notice
Last updated 1 October 2026. Template text: have it reviewed for your school before launch.
This notice explains what personal data Brackwell Code School ("we") collects, why, and what rights you have. We are the data controller for the data described here. Contact us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Enquiries and applications: name, email, phone, the course and cohort you are interested in, and anything you tell us in your message or at interview.
- Students: attendance, project work, mentor feedback, payment records and, if you choose to share it, employment outcome after the course.
- Website: this site sets no tracking cookies. Our host keeps standard server logs for security for up to 30 days.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry and run admissions (steps you asked us to take before a contract), to deliver the course and take payment (contract), to meet legal and accounting duties (legal obligation), and to report anonymised outcomes (legitimate interest). If you apply for a funded place, we share what [funding scheme] requires to confirm eligibility.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an application: 12 months. Student records: six years after the course ends, for accounting and reference requests. You can ask us to delete anything we are not required to keep.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Email us and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.
